Tomorrow night,  I’m headed to the  National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) annual award ceremony where I’m being honored with the Rising Star Award for 2010! Salt Lake City, Utah—The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Salt Lake City Chapter has named Gretta Spendlove, a partner with Durham Jones & Pinegar, The Woman Business Owner of The Year for 2010. Amanda Moxley of Amada Moxley, LLC (www.AmandaMoxley.com) is the recipient of The Rising Star Award for 2010.  The named Woman Business Owner of The Year honorees for 2010 are Dr. Pam Epperson of Utah Animal Care Center, Inc. and Julie Jakob of Jakob Marketing Partners, LLC. The Rising Star honoree for 2010 is Janice Boes of Pierpont Place and Premier Corporate Events.

The NAWBO Business Owner of The Year Award is awarded to a woman business owner who has demonstrated strong leadership skills in growing and managing a successful business that is more than three years old while also sharing those skills by participating in volunteer and civic organizations. The Rising Star Award is presented to a woman business owner who has demonstrated entrepreneurial creativity and determination in successfully managing a business that is less than three years old.

NAWBO-Salt Lake City will host an annual Awards Banquet and Installation of The New Board Event to celebrate the accomplishments of these talented award winners.  This event will take place on June 16th, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at Marriott University Park Hotel.
