Happy Valentines Day to you my love! I’m flying to Los Angeles this morning for my photo shoot with Christina Morassi and I felt inspired to share a little love note with you for Valentine’s Day.
As I’ve been getting ready to “be seen” by the camera, I noticed that I was putting a lot of pressure on myself to look a certain way which then affected my food choices.
I like many women have been really hard on myself and very judgmental and self critical of my body. I thought I had moved out of that critical self talk but it sure crept up this weekend! I finally looked at myself in the mirror and I told myself, “I can’t live under this pressure anymore, I just want to be ME!”
The good news is, now I know how to bust through it and get to the other side FAST and that’s what I want to share with you.
My message is for women to move deeper into LOVE of their bodies and selves. The first step in this formula is to remove all judgments of self and others. So, stop judging yourself. Stop criticizing yourself.
Instead… become aware and conscious of your thoughts. Simply observe that your body is not where you want it to be but don’t judge it! When you step back and breathe and just observe like when you’re observing (watching) a movie you’re non-attached which gives you tremendous freedom to breathe and just be you.
For today my little Valentine, don’t judge yourself or anything at all. Simply (and it really is simple) breathe and be aware of everything without attachment. Let your Soul shine bright and know that your true essence is pure divine love like a new born baby.
Remember who you are! Forget the old conditions and programs.
You are love. You were made from love and will return to love so let yourself love yourself and be free.
